In collaboration with our partners at the International Indigenous Forum on Biodiversity (IIFB), Jenna and Kirsten spoke in a side event along with leaders around the world at the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (First Meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Article 8(j) and Other Provisions of the Convention on Biological Diversity Related to Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities in Panama City, Panama). The soon-to-be-released OECM Guide was co-created to include different types of knowledge about biodiversity and conservation. In this side event, leaders shared their stories from places where traditional knowledge and wisdom lead the way in ensuring that nature and people thrive.
